Randy Found Some carpenter bees on some flowers at a clients home in Beaverton, and shot a video to give our clients some useful information concerning our pollinators. This video illustrates why you should not spray your flowers (or near your flowers) with pesticides.
At Nature First Pest Control we work hard to avoid exterminating the good insects that help pollinate our food plants.

Bathroom & Home Invaded by Carpenter Ants
Nature First Pest Control recently had a call about carpenter ants appearing in a Beaverton homeowners bathroom and else where. So we decided to take along the video camera and get some footage for you all to see as we went about a Green ant control service call.
A Colony of Carpenter Bees
Randy Found a colony of Carpenter bees that had established a nest in the insulation and then fallen out of the insulation in the ceiling of our client’s pool shed.
This is an indication of just how large a nest of Carpenter bees can become.
These are a species of Bumble Bee and are very beneficial. It was a shame that we had to kill this nest.
The owner of Nature First Pest Control got out the camera after he found this colony of the Modoc sub-species in Tigard. This video provides a good look at the largest of our local Carpenter ants. Read the rest of this entry »
